The Hammerhead mounting system secures the Karoo to the handlebar and lets you adjust its position relative to the handlebar, with 12.5 mm of fore/aft adjustment. It is compatible with 31.8 mm handlebars, so the diameter is the first detail to check before buying.
The screws remain captive during installation, so you do not risk losing them while working on the handlebar. According to the manufacturer, the system is included with every Karoo, so anyone who already has the computer may not need it. The deciding factor is the handlebar diameter.
