The Avid BB7 Road SL disc brake calliper is a mechanical calliper designed for racing, with an anodised Falcon grey finish and lightweight hardware. The kit includes a 140 mm rotor and an adapter. It is compatible with RED, Force, Rival and Apex levers, so check that your lever belongs to one of these ranges.
Choose the front or rear version according to the calliper's position. It uses a direct mount (DIR), so check that your frame or fork is suitable. The manufacturer recommends the one-piece G2 CleanSweep rotor. The pads are organic with aluminium backing plates, and the manufacturer describes the braking as smooth and powerful.
