The Avid BB7 Road S disc brake calliper is a mechanical calliper for road bikes, with an anodised black finish and stainless steel hardware. It is compatible with RED, Force, Rival and Apex levers, so check that your lever belongs to one of these ranges before buying. The manufacturer presents it as an upgrade with a more refined look.
Choose the front or rear version according to its position on the bike. It uses a direct mount (DIR) with the IS standard: 140 mm at the rear and 160 mm at the front. The rotor is not included, so check the diameter of the rotor you use. The manufacturer recommends a one-piece G2 CleanSweep rotor. The pads are organic with steel backing plates.
