The MAHLE XS Smart Controller C + Energy Hub kit combines the C controller for the XS system with the Energy Hub. The controller manages the entire XS system with BLE and ANT+ connectivity, is compatible with X20 and X30 motors and can be installed inside or outside the frame. The Energy Hub is designed for the eX1 range extender (e185) and has a USB-C port.
The Energy Hub supports QC5 fast charging and can act as a power bank to charge laptops, smartphones and bike lights. When choosing the kit, check that your motor is a X20 or X30 and that the 108 mm WS3 cable is suitable for connecting to the range extender. The XS system received the Design & Innovation Award 2025.
