Sram Code Bronze Stealth 4-Piston Disc Brake

Description

Our legendary full-power brake now features new technology to enhance your cockpit’s aesthetics: Stealth. The brand-new lever body design brings the hose closer to the bar, allowing for a sleeker, more modern ride. And to make customization easier, Code Bronze offers tool-free reach adjustment. Control is everything and better rides start with the certainty that your brakes will always feel the same.

FEATURES

• Invisible body design to complement our AXS cockpit
• Designed for the most demanding braking needs
• Metal bearings come standard for increased power and durability
• Use SwingLink for effortless riding

Technology

SwingLink

Squeeze a SRAM brake lever and you notice it immediately. Less dead zone. More positive engagement. A new cam system requires less lever travel to push the pads toward the rotor. It's great, but perfect braking performance requires more than just power. You need control. Many braking systems minimize dead zone, but at the expense of modulation. SwingLink solves this problem with its special cam shape. When the pads contact the rotor, the leverage rate curve is flat and smooth, avoiding the "on/off" brake feel. It is the perfect balance between power and precision.

Timing Port Closure

The timing port of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the lever cylinder bore. When the lever is pressed, a cup seal passes over this area and closes the port, pressurizing the system. The SRAM distribution port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish that produces reliable braking power and consistency.

Expandable Bladder

The new SRAM brake lever design includes a reshaped membrane that helps regulate and reduce air bubbles. The membrane is specially shaped to evacuate air from the lever and push fluid exactly where needed. The result is better backpressure release, producing reliable braking power and consistency.

Bleeding Edge

With this new caliper fluid circuit, the bleed port has been moved to the bottom of the caliper and all four piston bores can communicate. This way, during bleeding, the fluid naturally fills the caliper, resulting in easier and more consistent bleeding.
