The SRAM Maven Base front disc brake is designed for mountain bikers riding technical trails who want powerful, consistent braking. The stiff 4-bolt caliper has four 18 mm pistons and, according to the supplier, handles heat well, keeping braking consistent even on the final corner of the descent.
The lever features the Directlink system, which smoothly transmits the rider's input. Organic pads come as standard, and reach can be adjusted without tools. The system uses mineral oil and must be filled only with Maxima Mineral Brake Oil. The model is available in a single black variant, front version, with a 950 mm hose.
