The Odyssey Rim Strip rim tape is protective tape for BMX rims that covers the sharp edges inside the rim and protects the inner tube from punctures. Punctures are among the most common bike faults and are often caused by the edges of the rim. Odyssey developed this rim tape because quality rim tape for BMX rims was lacking, and makes it available to everyone.
The lilac version is for 24-inch rims, and the red version for 20-inch rims. The rim tape measures 30 mm wide and 1.5 mm thick. Once fitted correctly, you can forget about it, which is exactly its job.
