The SRAM XDR 12-speed freehub body with Novatec B freehub is for riders fitting cassettes to a rear hub who need an aluminum freehub for road and MTB use. It accepts XDR and XD cassettes: 12-speed cassettes fit directly, with 4 engagement pawls.
To choose the right version, check your cassette type and whether you need the 1.8 mm spacer, included only with the XDR version. With the 1.8 mm spacer, the body works with 11- and 12-speed MTB cassettes; without it, 12-speed cassettes fit directly.
