The Meilenstein ART OS Silver ED carbon wheelset consists of front and rear wheels and features a rim with patented Alpha Rib technology: an internal ribbed structure that directly integrates the carbon spokes and provides lateral stiffness where conventional double-wall rims flex. This allows the wheelset to combine a wider aerodynamic profile with high stiffness at an overall weight of 1190 g. This Silver ED version uses CeramicSpeed bearings and transfers power directly to the road through the Penta-Fly hub, based on the DT Swiss EXP 180.
Design and handling
The carbon spokes extend from rim to rim, running continuously from one side of the rim to the other through the hub without bends or mechanical connectors, thus preserving force transmission through the fibres. With an internal width of 22.9 mm, the rim is designed for 28 mm tyres and is tubeless compatible. The aerodynamic profile responds smoothly to headwinds and remains controllable in crosswinds. The key production stages are carried out by hand in Germany.
