The adjustable Odyssey Quik Slic BMX brake cable is designed for 16 and 18-inch BMX bikes with open U-brakes. Its straddle attachment allows tool-free adjustment to three lengths, so it suits different brake configurations. According to the supplier, the linear K-Shield mesh housing offers a higher compression ratio and weighs less than standard steel mesh.
Check that the frame has a slotted cable stop, as this model requires, and that the distance between the centre of the brake boss and the stop is approximately 245 mm (±3 mm). The cable has 995 mm housing and includes a Velcro strap. The Volcano ferrules prevent premature housing failure, according to the supplier.
