The Avid Elixir brake pad spacer is the tool you need to spread the pads during disc brake servicing, transport or replacement. It is used together with the Avid Bleed Block, making it useful for maintenance at home or in the workshop.
The spacer is compatible with Elixir and DB callipers, so check that your calliper is one of these models before buying. It is sold as a pair (2 pieces), so you can have one for each calliper you are working on. If you have callipers from another range, look for a tool specifically for that model.
