The Shimano front disc brake adapter is used to mount the calliper at the front wheel (VR) according to the rotor diameter. It comes in two sizes, 140 mm and 160 mm: choose the one that matches the rotor fitted to your bike so that the calliper sits correctly over the braking surface.
