Specific formulation for Gravel, born from Pirelli's experience in the world of rallies where the characteristics of smoothness on asphalt and grip on dirt are crucial. This compound uses the same polymer matrix as the SmartGrip Compound MTB compound, but improves its smoothness. LGravel use requires greater speed and versatility on/off-road, which is why Pirelli technicians have oriented the properties of the compound towards better energy efficiency, allowing excellent performance on dirt terrain and high grip on both dry and wet surfaces. With smoothness values ​​on any surface similar to those recorded by purely road tires.

Tech WALL Gravel

With a combination of the know-how developed for reinforced road structures and the experience gained in MTB, Pirelli technicians have created a Gravel construction that relies on both the mechanical resistance of the compound itself and a layer of high cut resistance that protects the carcass from bead to bead. While punctures on the road mainly occur due to the penetration of sharp objects, off-road they are more frequently caused by stones or debris on the sidewall of the tyre. For this reason, the textile material used for the TechWALL construction is particularly resistant to cuts, in order to guarantee better resistance of the entire structure. The 60tpi tubeless-ready carcass guarantees an optimal riding feeling without the risk of forced stops thanks to the use of specific anti-cut fabrics.
