The hydraulic disc brake oil is contained within the oleodynamic tubes that connect the pompante (i.e. the brake lever) to the brake body. When we act on the lever, also called Master Cyclinder, the oil transfers the force impressed on the two pistons, which send the tablets against the rotor to be bathed and thus allow to slow down the race. This is possible thanks to the characteristics of the inclusive of the oil, which transmits the force without absorbing it. The operation of a disk brake has as its basis the friction between disk and core, which generates considerable heat that also turns to the system and therefore to oil, which must be able to bear stress without reaching the boiling point.
