The Schwalbe Tough Tom wire bead tyre is designed for mountain biking, in sizes 29 x 2,25 (57-622), 26 x 2,35 (60-559), 27,5 x 2,6 (65-584) and 27,5 x 2,8 inches (70-584). K-GUARD protection and SBC compound complete the specifications, while the casing has 50 TPI.
Start with the wheel diameter: sizes range from 26 to 29 inches, with widths from 2,25 to 2,8 inches. A greater width requires more clearance between the tyre and the fork or frame stays, so always compare the value with that of your bike.

Schwalbe was established in Germany in 1973 by Ralf Bohle, with roots in the family business founded in Bergneustadt in 1922. Today it is based in Reichshof and makes bicycle tyres and inner tubes. Its name means “swallow” in German and translates Swallow, the name of the first tyres imported from Korea.
