Two icons

Continental and Tadej Pogačar have jointly created the character “Pogi” and present him in a series of animations. These aim to promote road safety, mutual respect and harmonious coexistence among all road users. The initiative also strengthens Continental's longstanding commitment to road safety while engaging the international cycling community.

Just like Tadej, the Grand Prix 5000 S TR is famous worldwide. It is valued for its perfect balance of speed, grip and puncture protection: no wonder it is the choice of the world's best professional road cyclist.

Each tyre in this limited edition comes with a “Pogi” collectible figurine. Place it on your dashboard or desk as you plan your next personal best.

A modern icon

The Grand Prix 5000 S TR sets the standard for modern road bike tyres: maximum speed, excellent grip and reliable puncture protection. It is no coincidence that it is the choice of the world's best professional cyclists.

BlackChili compound

With its exclusive tread compound, Continental has revolutionised the world of cycling. Thanks to the legendary BlackChili Compound, the company has definitively resolved the age-old dilemma between grip and rolling resistance. The latest polymers, specially developed carbon black particles and fillers ensure unique performance, whether on road, gravel or mountain bikes, in time trials or downhill.

Active Comfort Technology

A revolutionary approach to road cycling. Integrated into the tyre's construction, Active Comfort technology absorbs vibrations and ensures an exceptional riding experience.

Vectran Breaker

Vectran is spun from the liquid crystal polymer Vectra. The result is a thermoplastic multifilament yarn. By comparison, this semi-crystalline fabric is more cut-resistant than aramid and has five times the tensile strength of steel. A Vectran Breaker is lighter, more flexible and provides more effective protection against cuts than comparable nylon breakers. Rolling resistance is unaffected.

Lazer Grip

Lazer-Grip allows you to become one with the road. The laser-created micro-profile structure focuses on the tyre's shoulder area, giving you greater cornering grip.

Tubeless Ready

For initial installation, Continental recommends using at least 30 ml of Conti RevoSealant per tyre. Then rotate the tyre or wheel to distribute the Conti RevoSealant and inflate to maximum pressure. Before your first ride, check the pressure again and inflate further if necessary.

Compatible with Hookless rims

This tyre is suitable for Hookless rims up to a limited maximum pressure. For detailed information, consult the fitting instructions and the tyre packaging.

Founded in Hanover in 1871, Continental is still based in the German city today. For cyclists, it makes tires and inner tubes for road, gravel, mountain biking and urban riding. Its connection with bicycles goes back to its early days: in 1892, it became the first German company to produce pneumatic bicycle tires.
