Behind the Overcurve R4 lies cutting-edge construction technology: a resilient laminated polyurethane material is combined with a comfortable fabric, reducing energy dissipation and providing long-lasting support to the foot where needed.

Overcurve
The shoe closure is fast, secure, and reliable, equipped with a micro-adjustable BOA dial in an Overcurve pattern. Overcurve is a construction system characterized by a special collar that wraps the ankle following the natural misalignment of the two bony prominences of the lateral and medial malleoli. The result is an asymmetrical shape, with the shoe’s upper wrapping the foot along its entire length.

R4 outsole
The moderately stiff R4 outsole is the perfect balance between comfort and pedaling efficiency, making it Fizik’s best "all-rounder" shoe. An air intake and an internal channeling system provide airflow that helps breathability for maximum thermal regulation. The cleat positioning is slightly set back compared to other models to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, especially improving performance in aggressive and aerodynamic positions.
