The lightest way to climb
The ARC 1100 SPLINE 38 CS reaches new heights of engineering excellence, with carbon spokes making it the lightest Aero wheelset on the market. Every element has been designed in detail to optimize weight without compromising performance. The refined carbon spokes reduce weight, allowing you to conquer climb after climb. At its heart is a new SPLINE hub mounted on a 38 mm high Aero carbon rim, the lightest ever. Resulting from PURE Carbon technology, it ensures that even on climbs, you wonβt fear gravity. For less steep slopes, the aerodynamically optimized profile will push you to the top faster than ever.
Rim
The ultimate climbing rim with a 38 mm height combines the lightness of our PURE Carbon technology and aerodynamic optimization to reach the top even faster.
Carbon spokes
The first wheelset with carbon spokes. The aerodynamic carbon spokes provide greater stiffness and lightness.
Hub
180 straightpull hub for carbon spokes with specially engineered design and precisely machined flanges.
Optimized WTS Aero
With Continental AERO 111 26 mm tires at the front and Continental GP 5000 STR 28 mm at the rear.

WTS Technology
Optimization of wheel and tire as a complete system, to be even faster. While already offering some of the fastest wheels on the market, the next step was to start considering the wheel and tire as a complete system: the Wheel Tire System (WTS). With AERO 111 we developed the ideal front tire tailored to our rims, taking aerodynamic optimization to the next level. The development of the complete wheel-tire system (WTS) is part of our AERO+ concept, the perfect synthesis of durability, handling, and efficiency. We applied this technology to our Aero and Endurance categories, elevating their aerodynamic advantages with a custom tire that perfectly fits the respective internal rim widths.
Aero+
The perfect symbiosis of durability, handling, and performance. When perfecting a wheel according to the AERO+ concept, the optimization of various parameters is aimed at a single goal: increasing speed! Translational resistance is the aerodynamic force that slows the cyclist in the direction of travel. This force depends on the frontal impact surface of the cyclist (75%), the road bike and its components (25%), as well as the speed. To minimize translational resistance, it is necessary to limit the impact surface of the cyclist/bike combination, optimizing its aerodynamics as much as possible. If you want to go faster, it is essential to reduce the aerodynamic resistance of the cyclist/bike combination, as the force increases proportionally to the square of the speed. From 15 km/h upwards, aerodynamic resistance is the greatest resistance the cyclist must overcome. The front wheel plays a fundamental role, as it accounts for 8% of the total resistance.
Spoke technology
The creation of high-quality spokes marked the beginning of the company. DT was synonymous with high-quality Swiss spokes even before the founding of the current DT Swiss AG. Today, DT Swiss spokes are synonymous with durability and precision and, thanks to their exclusive manufacturing process, offer an unmatched combination of lightness and stability.
Tubeless technology
All DT Swiss wheels are compatible with tubeless technology, and the ASM versions are prepared for the tubeless system, equipped with tape and tubeless valves. Tubeless tires offer several advantages over the traditional combination of inner tube and tire: the tire can be inflated to lower pressure levels without risking pinch flats (the so-called "snake bite" punctures) and ensuring superior grip. Lower pressure provides greater comfort on the saddle, and the absence of an inner tube eliminates friction between it and the tire, resulting in reduced rolling resistance on terrain and obstacles. Using a sealant liquid for the tubeless system allows the tire to self-seal punctures and small cuts. A great advantage for all those who love to ride long distances and who, in case of problems, would find themselves several kilometers from the nearest repair shop.
