HYPERGLIDE+
The backbone of this new groupset is the revolutionary HYPERGLIDE+ shifting technology. First introduced on Shimano MTB groupsets, this unique interface between chain and cassette smoothly guides the chain up and down the cassette for fast and precise shifting in both directions, even under extreme pedaling loads. So there's no need to reduce pedal pressure before shifting. HYPERGLIDE+ ensures smooth and efficient shifts, every time.

HOLLOWGLIDE
The high-stiffness hollow structure reduces weight while maintaining rigidity. More efficient power transfer and quicker, more precise chainring shifts.

HOLLOWTECH II
HOLLOWTECH II technology is designed to produce a superior crankset that maximizes power transfer. The crankset's stiffness ensures pedaling efficiency, while its lightweight, a key feature, helps the rider on long distances where more pedaling is required. HOLLOWTECH technology, consisting of an ultralight hollow crank arm that maintains stiffness, was developed by SHIMANO using its exclusive forging technologies. The addition of HOLLOWTECH II integrates the bottom bracket axle with the right crank arm, ensuring greater stiffness, weight reduction, and high dimensional stability. The bottom bracket's axial bearing system ensures better weight distribution, resulting in more efficient power transfer. The HOLLOWTECH II crankset was developed to achieve an optimal balance between stiffness and rolling performance, resulting in an ultralight and very elegant design.
