Fox 34 Float Factory Kashima SC FIT 4 29" 100mm Offset 44mm Fork

The Fox 34 Step-Cast fork is designed to deliver uncompromising performance in XC races with tuning, frame stiffness, and durability at the highest levels. The factory says it all: packed with features and designed to exceed riders' demands. Factory series products have an extra-smooth and extremely durable Kashima coating. The patented FIT4 remote damping system offers two damping positions to adapt to different trail conditions (open & firm). Factory series forks feature a 22-click low-speed compression adjustment in open mode, allowing the rider to fine-tune the damping. Additionally, low-speed rebound damping (10 clicks) can be adjusted. The lightweight FLOAT pneumatic suspension system automatically balances the positive and negative air chambers for increased sensitivity and traction regardless of air pressure settings. Riders can fine-tune the positive air spring characteristics using volume spacers. Using a shorter stanchion saves weight and creates an overall lightweight system. When the fork compresses, the air volume in the lower legs decreases, increasing air pressure. The more the fork compresses, the more the pressure rises. This effect can undesirably prevent reaching full suspension travel. Channels in the lower legs help solve this problem by drastically increasing the air volume in the lower legs, thus reducing the additional, unintended pressure increase. The stiffness-to-weight ratio is the ultimate metric for bike design. Engineers invest countless hours in every gram of material to optimize this critical ratio.
