Pirelli Scorpion XC Soft Terrain is the mountain bike tire designed for soft and loose terrains. The tread is made with tall and widely spaced knobs to support riding when the tire tends to sink and to shed heavy accumulated soil, without flexing and thus ensuring high steering precision and absolute grip even in challenging and difficult conditions. The use of the special SmartGRIP Compound guarantees high traction and tear resistance at the same time, resulting in high grip in any weather condition, whether dry or wet: the best ally for your offroad performance.

The tread of Pirelli Scorpion XC Soft Terrain is made up of taller and widely spaced knobs that ensure excellent ground penetration and high mechanical and chemical grip, making it perfect even for more aggressive riding styles. The height and stiffness of the knobs favor ground penetration and mechanical grip action, ensuring excellent braking and traction behavior as well as great cornering support. The specific spacing of the Scorpion Soft Terrain knobs and the compound formulation also promote the shedding of material accumulated on the tread at low speeds.

SmartGRIP Compound is a compound that uses the most advanced chemical technologies to achieve two typically opposing characteristics in the offroad world: mechanical resistance and chemical grip. This formulation allows reaching such a level of performance that it can be used throughout the entire rubber layer composing the tread.
