The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the highest performing tire in the range as well as being the first tubeless tire entirely made in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing involves the use of a compound mixed with aramid that coats the inner layer of the tire, improving both rolling efficiency and tire durability. The result: a less rigid but faster tire. The compound maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance tires in the PZERO range.

The most advanced racing formulation for road use ever, born from Pirelliā€™s experience in top Motorsport competitions and specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposing characteristics, such as grip and rolling efficiency. The ternary polymer blend with ā€œintelligentā€ behavior characteristics forms the basis of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound, allowing better grip on dry and wet surfaces while improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance compound developed for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local races or the World Tour to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces demand tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is exclusively used in the Ā P ZEROā„¢ range.
Structure: SpeedCORE
SpeedCOREā„¢ is a tubeless-ready structure developed by Pirelli for high-performance cycling tires, representing the most advanced TLR technology to date. It derives from Pirelliā€™s automotive experience and is made possible also thanks to the new production plant in Italy. The SpeedCOREā„¢ construction consists of a thin, waterproof layer of rubber compound infused with aramid particles. This layer covers the inner part of the tire and, thanks to the presence of aramid in the rubber compound, allows better mechanical resistance, improved air retention, and greater overall flexibility: all contributing to the tireā€™s overall performance.
