P ZERO™ Race TLR RS is the latest evolution of the P ZERO™ road bike tires Made in Italy. Specifically developed for racing, it is the fastest and highest performing cycling tire, featuring improvements in all key areas. The patent-pending SpeedCORE™ technology, which consists of a thin airtight layer of rubber compound infused with aramid particles, allowed us to lighten the casing structure and overall thickness, further reducing rolling resistance. The SmartEVO2 compound has been enhanced for both smoothness and grip, thanks to our new Made in Italy manufacturing processes, further increasing steering precision and control on both dry and wet surfaces. The new TLR bead design ensures even better compatibility and air retention, fitting modern rim designs, including hookless ones, developed according to ETRTO and ISO standards.
Technical specifications

Technologies
SPEEDCORE
The highest performing tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range uses a layer of aramid-mixed compound that coats the inner layer of the tire, allowing it to hold air. This new structure makes the tire more durable, thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to the greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a 120tpi Nylon fabric and a puncture-resistant layer, also made of aramid.
SmartEVO²
The new SmartEVO² represents the latest evolution in our world of high-performance road bike tires, enhanced by our Motorsport experience and the demands of modern World Tour cycling. It evolves from the three-polymer SmartEVO compound with 'smart' characteristics, using new materials and innovative mixing processes now possible at our production plant in Italy, located right next to our R&D headquarters. This results in an overall improvement in grip, especially on wet surfaces, and a reduction in rolling resistance to record levels for its category, elevating both performance and riding feel to what the fastest World Tour riders in the world require.
