Cinturato™ Gravel M is the tire specifically designed for Gravel use on mixed terrain with variable surfaces. The tread is made with medium height and spacing knobs to ensure excellent performance across a wide range of terrains. The special SpeedGrip Compound adds mechanical resistance and chemical grip without reducing rolling efficiency on both dry and wet surfaces, while also providing a high level of puncture protection. Cinturato™ Gravel M is the ideal choice for those tackling challenging gravel routes with significant elevation changes and aggressive surfaces, which is why it is almost always the model used by our Athletes in Gravel races and solo adventures. Cinturato Gravel M is compatible with hookless rims, respecting the ETRTO inflation limit of 5bar/72.5psi.

Technologies

SpeedGRIP compound

A specific formulation for Gravel, born from Pirelli’s experience in the rally world where rolling efficiency on asphalt and grip on dirt are crucial. This compound uses the same polymer matrix as the MTB SmartGrip Compound but improves rolling efficiency. Gravel use requires higher speed and versatility on/off-road, so Pirelli’s technicians have oriented the compound’s properties towards better energy efficiency, allowing excellent performance on dirt terrains and high grip on both dry and wet surfaces. Rolling efficiency values on any surface are similar to those recorded by purely road tires.

TechWALL Gravel

Combining the know-how developed for reinforced road structures and the experience gained in MTB, Pirelli’s technicians have created a Gravel construction that relies both on the mechanical resistance of the compound itself and on a high cut-resistance layer that protects the casing from bead to bead. While road punctures mainly occur due to penetration by sharp objects, off-road punctures more frequently happen from stones or debris on the tire sidewall. For this reason, the textile material used for the TechWALL construction is particularly cut-resistant to ensure better durability of the entire structure. The 120tpi tubeless-ready casing guarantees an optimal riding feel without the risk of forced stops thanks to the use of specific anti-cut fabrics.
