Maxxis Minion DHR II 29x2.60 WT EXO+ 3C Maxx Terra Tubeless Ready Tire

With its completely new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive riding.
With the side knobs of the legendary DHF, slightly improved for even greater cornering support, it offers excellent traction. The central knobs are tapered to allow better acceleration and braking. The longitudinally cut profile makes high-speed cornering a breeze.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)

This special casing construction optimizes the tread layout and tire shape for today’s wider modern rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and end up with a too angular shape on wide rims, which is less than ideal in terms of performance.
WT tires are optimized for a 35 mm internal rim width but perform excellently on all rims with an internal size between 30 and 40 mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires offer numerous advantages: you can ride with lower air pressure. This provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for sealant installation than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is fully covered by a rubber layer, like a true UST tubeless tire. This means tubeless installation succeeds on all standard-sized rims at the first inflation and with little sealant.

Even “regular” MAXXIS MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the casing fabric is very dense.
However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strongly advise against using ammonia-containing sealant. It has been shown that ammonia attacks the casing and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

EXO+ Protection

The improved EXO+ casing is based on a robust 60TPI casing coated with abrasion-resistant rubber. Additionally, the tire sidewalls have a reinforced and rubberized EXO puncture protection layer, while a short butyl insert is placed above the tire bead. Tires with EXO+ protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing and are ideal for the higher torque and weight associated with e-MTBs.

3C MaxxTerra

3C MaxxTerra is the optimal three-compound rubber for our enduro and freeride tires. This compound is characterized by ease of climbing and better grip on descents, as well as long durability.
