After 14 years and numerous special editions, the popular GP 4000 has been updated and the GP 5000 was born.
The GP 4000 S II is recognized by all as the class leader, a tire with excellent performance and super reliable. Now, 14 years after the introduction of the first GP 4000, the legendary Continental has been completely revised and is better in every single aspect, including the latest Tubeless version.

The GP 5000 S TR is similar to the standard version but adds an air-tight layer, a profiled sidewall (with softer rubber for easier mounting) despite a more robust 220 TPI casing. Continental states that the new versions will be the perfect compromise between safety and ease of installation. Continental’s patented Black Chili compound has been updated with a new formula and laser-etched tread to offer even better cornering grip. Continental also claims a more aerodynamic tire surface with less turbulence.

Tubeless Ready

Tubeless Ready tires can be used both with inner tubes and without, by using a sealant liquid. The revolutionary flexible Tubeless Ready bead allows easy and quick mounting of the tire without an inner tube. All Continental tires in the ProTection and Performance ranges feature Tubeless Ready (RTR) technology.
