DCL (Dual Control Lever)


The lever performs braking and shifting functions and is easy and intuitive to use. Ergonomic innovation is essential for the highest performance standards. The new internal shifting mechanisms owe their robustness to Shimano MTB technologies, and they are so efficient that you can change gear or chainring with just a touch of a finger. In fact, the shifting action represents the final achievement of the Shimano Total Integration philosophy, and only those who have tried it can understand its advantages.

The 105 Dual Control Lever controls have an optimized structure with features such as a lightweight pin section on the inner side of the shifting unit and an integrated shift cable to lighten the steering. The numerous components have been made so compact and precise to ensure unprecedented performance at high speeds.

Reach Adjust

The brake lever is equipped with a reach adjustment mechanism. The distance between the grip and the lever can be adjusted and tailored to hands of any size, style, and individual cyclist preferences.
