The S5 is now an undisputed benchmark when it comes to competitive sports in terms of speed and aerodynamic efficiency. This is proven by the numerous results achieved on the most prestigious international stages. From Wout van Aert, who won the Green Jersey with the highest number of victories in modern history, to Simon Yates, who recently claimed the pink jersey, the iconic V-shaped handlebar and the distinctive fork design of the S5 have become a hallmark among professionals worldwide. The new S5 builds on this legacy of speed and design to evolve into something even faster, more refined, and distinctive, reducing weight to become an even more powerful ally in the hands of the fastest athletes in the world.
The new S5 is over 6 Watts faster than the current version, 124 grams lighter while still ensuring the same handling, responsiveness, and stability that cyclists around the world already appreciate in its predecessor. The most important changes concern the front part, where the most significant aerodynamic performance improvements come from. The fork blades and the head tube have become more pronounced, while the handlebar and stem are now a single piece, redesigned, taking up the V-stem concept but with an even more aerodynamic and faster solution.
Cervélo and Reserve have jointly developed the new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheels, designed and wind-tunnel tested together with the bike frame and specifically optimized for use paired with the new S5.
