Punctures from piercing or pinching are the biggest fear and inconvenience for all cyclists. Repairing or replacing an inner tube is never an easy task, nor is inflating it correctly. Michelin has designed and created an inner tube with a revolutionary concept. It's called Protek Max, a new type of rubber that self-repairs when needed. The inner tube has a special shape with ridges inside, allowing it to stay tight and pressed against the outer tire. At the correct operating pressure, the unique shape of the inner tube keeps it elastic, so any external object will have a hard time puncturing it.
