The Astra, UCI-approved, maintains its road vocation but increases stability and comfort. It is lightweight, but without pushing carbon to its extreme limits, preserving the Basso racing DNA while making it versatile: ideal for those who are not professional athletes but want to ride every day. The new frame features lowered vertical dropouts, a 12 mm higher stack, and a 3 mm shorter reach, creating a slightly more relaxed riding experience. Tire clearance (clearance) up to 35 mm allows for wider tires to venture beyond asphalt onto light gravel roads.

Technology

• 3k Toray High Modulus Carbon Fiber: The frame is entirely made in Italy by the skilled hands of Basso artisans. Its features are designed to amplify the fun factor for anyone who simply wants to hop on the saddle, whatever their definition of "riding" is. Basso was among the first brands to research and use carbon in their frames, developing new techniques to constantly improve performance, reliability, and durability.

• Paradigma Integration System: Routing many cables through tight spaces often makes the steering lazy and heavy. Basso managed to integrate internal routing while maintaining light and precise handling. The Paradigma stem body remains free of cables, so it can be removed at any time without disconnecting them; this facilitates maintenance, transport in bike cases, or changing the stem length itself.

• 3B Clamp System Gen 2: A fully hidden seatpost clamp solution, invisible on the frame, that weaves technological innovation and aesthetics.
